R&D in Aquaculture

Continuous researches to improve Pangasius breeds has shown to be strength in operating a fully integrated agriculture business and play an important part in promoting TPG to the leading position of Vietnamese aquaculture sector
Major R&D activities in aquaculture are as follow:

- Dietary for fish larvae (especially Pangasius): study nutritional values and examine live feed to identify and better fulfill dietary requirements of the fish larvae.
- Nursery: Applying high-density hatching technology in concrete pool, low water level lined pool to reduce probability of diseases infection, enhance productivity, mortality rate, fingerling quality and climate change response.
- Disease Control: coming up disease prevention and treatment, reducing disease infection probability and environmental impact on aquaculture (such as application of vaccine and natural anti-biotic medicine to prevent fish from disease)
- Efficient aquaculture solutions: use of recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) to reduce mortality rate and diseases.
- Processing: expanding and developing value-added products, applying modern processing technologies, strictly applying food safety production. Pangasius and clam quality must reach standards required by import countries, territories and international bodies such as FAO, WHO, Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) and contemporaneously meet non-standard criterion such as Global GAP, ASC,…
